Imagine Learning
English Language Development consists of four proficiencies:
-speaking
-listening
-reading
-writing
Listening and speaking usually develop first, with reading and writing acquired next. Students are supported both in the classroom and in small groups to develop the skills and knowledge in all four of these language strands. Each of these proficiencies will be assessed on your child's report card. As an additional support, some of our English Language Learners have been using an online literacy program specifically designed to meet the language needs of ELL students called Imagine Learning (Imagine Language and Literacy). This program assesses each student and then creates a literacy program with various lessons and activities that targets student's individual needs.

Students enjoyed their second month with the Bridge Club afterschool program. Students took part in a lesson on heroes and the characteristics that heroes embody. Students then had the opportunity to create a mask or puppet representing their own "superhero".
Congratulations to Ojulo who was Leader of the Day at Bridge Club!
