Hello Ranchlands School Community!

Registering your Child for School
If you are new to Canada, you must register your child at the Admissions and Assessment Office at Kingsland Centre (7430 – 5 Street SW) even if they have attended school elsewhere in Canada. This includes:
  • -Landed immigrants (Permanent Residents)
  • -Refugees
  • -Children of individuals who are lawfully admitted to Canada for permanent or temporary residence, or non-residents (parents on work or study permits)
  • -Non-Canadian children of Canadian citizens/Permanent Residents
  • -International fee-paying students who are approved by the CBE’s Global Learning
You can call the Admissions and Assessment Office to make an appointment at 403-777-7373 (and then press 1).
Your child will be assessed at the centre and once complete, you may register your child at your designated school. For more information on required documents and assessment you can visit this link:

The Bridge Club had their second session this week. Students learned about identity and made personal connections to things that helped to define them and things that were important to them. From the Circle of Courage, students talked about belonging and what makes them feel like they belong in their school and community.
