Hello Ranchlands School Community!

With our return to winter this week, our patrollers were extra diligent in keeping our school community safe! The cold weather policy for patrollers is as follows:

Our patrollers are outside to supervise on all days where it is safe for them to do so.  On those occasions where road or weather conditions would jeopardize their safety, patrols will not be available, therefore, no patrollers on duty during heavy rainstorms or when the weather is –20C or colder.

Patrollers, please make sure you are dressed appropriately for our ever changing weather in Calgary!

To recognize the hard work and dedication of patrollers across the city, the AMA School Safety Program have a special incentive this Sunday, January 20. Patrollers were informed of the event. More information is below.

Happy New Year Ranchlands School Community!

It has been a great start to the new year at Ranchlands School! Students and Staff are excited to be back with new learning taking place in all areas. 

Similarly, being a newcomer to a country comes with much new learning, including the educational system. Alberta Education has created some very helpful sites to help new families learn about Alberta's school system, roles of educators and parents, and how parents can support their child(ren) as an English Language Learner.
